We encourage folks to bring non-perishable food (if they can) to worship for donation to the food pantry. While we are being fed, we can help to feed our neighbors as well.
In addition to our own ministries, Bethany offers space to a half a dozen other community groups. We share our building with our sisters and brothers of the New Vision Korean Methodist Church as well.
In the summer, we host Next Step Ministries which is helping to rebuild the south shore after the devastation of Superstorm Sandy. We believe that when Christ said to "love your neighbor as yourself," he meant it as a call to service and that faith is as faith does!
We’ve seen the transformation hundreds of times – people who came to us full of doubt and uncertainty, maybe even wounded by churches that preach love but practice something else. Jesus didn't reject people and neither do we, we'll just welcome you in as Christ welcomes us all, as you are ready and rejoice with you as you as that grace takes hold and changes your life.. The change may start slowly – in a Bible Study class or choir participation, perhaps – but once it begins, it picks up speed. The good works, shared experiences, time spent in prayer – all bring us closer to our highest calling.
Take the first step toward personal renewal – join us for services this weekend!
